National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI)

• Master Certified Remodeler – CR a full-service remodeler who has reached Master level
• Green Certified Professional – GCP a designation for remodelers focusing on energy efficiency and conservation, indoor air quality, efficient use of resources, recycling of demolition material and renewable energy sources.
• Universal Design Certified Professional – UDCP a new designation for remodelers who focus on the Seven Universal Design principles and apply them to projects for families who wish to age in place, have special needs or are forward thinking.

National Home Builders Association (NAHB)

• Certified Aging in Place Specialist – CAPS a technical designation for remodelers focusing on home modifications for older and maturing adults to remodel their homes for aging in place.
